The papal apartment consists of 10 large rooms spread along 2 sides of the top floor of a building facing St. PeterŐs Square: Vestibule, Library (Benedict has 20,000 books), Study, Medical Suite, Office for Secretary, Bedroom in the corner, private chapel, dining room, living room, kitchen. There is a roof garden and staff quarters for the nuns who run the Papal Household. It is from the window of the study that the pope greets and blesses pilgrims to St. PeterŐs Square on Sundays.
