MICHAELANGELO’S PIETA

 

       Michaelangelo’s Pieta is on the right as you enter the front door. He sculpted it when he was 25 years of age. It always was placed so as to be seen very close up. Now is it recessed about 20 feet and protected by glass doors - this because of a man who recently fractured the figure with a hammer!
